How This Wiki Differs Technically From Other Wikis
We started with the UseModWiki (Search for UseModWiki) 0.92 software. But we have since modified to include a whole host of new features. Some of which include:
- All of our pages can be viewed without reference to the program script.
- Multiple levels of sub pages. We allow up to four levels of subpages!
- Users can have a subpage called NewPageText?Create|Search. This will be used as the default when they edit a new page of text.
- The system has an editable page to display for pages that don't exist.
- All author home pages are subpages of the HomePages (Search) page. Note that authors can still make two more levels of subpages under their home page.
- Index and login options now on all pages.
- Fixes to Cookies, and having the cookies apply to the whole domain, not just the subidrectory where the Wiki script is located.
- Lots of other improved options.
